DESCRIPTION:Brightcon is a conference series which has originated from dis
 cussing developments of the open source LCA software "Brightway" and has g
 radually opened up to the whole ecosystem of open source tools and data us
 ed for LCA and (environmental) sustainability calculations. \nBrightcon 2
 025 arrives with new ideas and invites you to join for stimulating discus
 sions around open source software and data for (environmental) sustainabil
 ity!\nThis years' theme is "Open data"\, and Brightcon 2025 intends to att
 ract both software engineers and those who bring open source packages for 
 (environmental) sustainability assessment into industrial or scientific pr
 actice. \n Do you face open data aspects in your daily work? Would you l
 ike to learn more about the latest open data products and networks? Are yo
 u looking for networking opportunities with members of the open sustainabi
 lity ecosystem around Brightway and open data for sustainability? You don
 ’t need to be a programmer\, Brightcon is for everyone enthusiastic abou
 t open sustainability! \nThe program will include reserved slots for prese
 ntations of open datasets\, tools for harmonising and maintaining data\, a
 nd community sessions to make open data the norm in sustainability assessm
 ent. \nBrightcon 2025 encompasses three events:\n\nHackathon (Monday and 
 Tuesday 13./14.10.\, physical)\, where everyone is invited to join forces 
 to code on a defined topic\; or to improve documentation\nCourses for begi
 nners and intermediate/advanced users of open source packages on Tuesday 1
 4.10.2025 (physical). Please note that course access is reserved for confe
 rence attendees\, i.e. it is not possible to register only for a course.
