Courses will include a full day beginners track and a full day advanced track. Both are held in parallel on Tuesday from ca. 9 am to ca. 6 pm with breaks. Registration for a course is only possible together with registration for the conference. During registration you can opt for course participation. Note that places are limited! First come first serve.
The cost for one day of course + three days of conference (physical) amount to EUR 375.-. This includes catering for breaks and lunch and one conference dinner.
Courses will be held physically at Grenoble only, no online edition this year.
The beginners track includes the following topics:
- Introduction to open source packages around Brightway
- How to use Brightway: We will go through a jupyter notebook at the example of an LCA case study
- Activity Browser is there to help you! Introduction and use examples
- Example for the use of a related package: prospective LCA with premise
This course is taught by Karin Treyer, spearheading documentation of Brightway and trying to make it accessible for people who don't come from the coding world; Marc Van der Meide, one of the key persons developing Activity Browser; Romain Sacchi, the developer of premise and many other useful packages.
The intermediate/advanced track is for users who are already experienced with Brightway & co. They are being shown the usage of the following:
- Timex
- Vocabularies
- LCA algebraic
- tbd
This course is taught by the makers of timex (Arthur Jacobs, Amélie Muller, Timo Diepers), Chris Mutel, and Raphael Jolivet.
